Wayward Strand will be available digitally from September 15th, for:

• PC: on Steam
• PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 5: on the PlayStation Store
• Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S: on the Microsoft Store
• Nintendo Switch: on the Nintendo eShop
  • Note: On the eShop for Japan, Korea and Hong Kong, Wayward Strand will be available from September 22nd.

At launch, it is only playable in English.

Due to the sheer volume of writing involved, localisation has so far been beyond the capacity of our small independent team. However, we would love for Wayward Strand to be available for non-English speaking players in the future.

Wayward Strand is a single-player game, but we encourage you to play it side by side with a friend or family member.

The game offers full support for gamepad across all platforms, and on PC supports both mouse-only and mouse & keyboard play-styles, with basic support for keyboard-only play-styles.

• Gamepad:
  • Most gamepad variants should be recognised.
  • If you are having trouble with your favourite controller, please let us know.
  • Steam also has some great support tools for controller setup/customisation which may assist you.
• Mouse-only:
  • In Wayward Strand, all controls and options are provided as clickable on-screen buttons, ensuring that it is playable from start to finish with just a mouse.
• Keyboard-only:
  • We include rudimentary support for some keyboard controls. At this stage, however, these button mappings aren’t exposed in game. In general, you should be able to use the Arrow Keys (←↑↓→), or WASD, for navigation, and to choose options from the conversation diamond. The Space key is generally used to 'confirm', and the Escape key to 'cancel' or 'go back'.

A single playthrough of Wayward Strand is around four hours long from start to finish. You can play it a single time, or many times, to discover all the stories within the game.

The story is divided into three days; each day takes a little over an hour to complete. The end of each in-game day provides a natural point to take a break.
